Tame® License Terms

Software License Options

The Tame software is not free.  Please review the licensing options below.

Evaluation License

You are licensed to use this software free of charge for 30 days for the purpose of evaluating the effectiveness of Tame in your environment.  If you decide to use Tame beyond the 30 day period then permanent licenses are required.   In general, a license is needed for each user, unless a site or corporate license has been purchased.

Please contact the following if you have questions that need to be addressed.

Single User License

One individual on a single-user operating system may use each single-user license.  It may be accessed over a network as long as each user is licensed to run Tame.

Multi User License

Use of Tame on a multi-user system requires a multi-user license.  When purchasing multi-user licenses, the following options are available:

1.      Purchase a license based on the maximum number of Tame copies that will be running at any given time

2.      Purchase a license for each individual who needs access to Tame

3.      Purchase a site license

4.      Purchase a multi-site corporate license

Simultaneous users

A Tame license must be purchased for each simultaneous user on the system.  If it is not possible to determine how many simultaneous users are running Tame, then a license must be purchased for each possible simultaneous user.

Individual users

Each individual who will use Tame needs a license.  This can be the best option if licenses are needed for only a few users.  It can also be used if the exact location of users cannot be identified, so none of the other licensing options are applicable.

Site License

A site license covers computers owned or leased by a single company in a single metropolitan area (approximately 25 mile radius).  There is no limit to the number of users.  For multi-user systems (e.g. Citrix, Terminal Server) that are located in the metro area, all users of that computer are covered, regardless of their geographic location.

Corporate license

A Corporate license covers all computers owned or leased by a company, regardless of location, and there is no limit to the number of users.
